#141 Cult @ Dublin Olympia Theatre (March 4th 2008)

Cult @ Dublin Olympia Theatre March 4th 2008

Support: Unknown

I love the Cult. I love their songs. I love the guitar of Billy Duffy and I love Ian Astbury's voice. This was my fourth time seeing the band and will see them plenty of more times as I always enjoy their gigs. I always enjoy the atmosphere and most importantly of all I always enjoy the moshing.

The Cult have some great tunes. Yes they can be bombastic and over the top but feck me they make me feel good. Just think about their songs:

 - Sheer moshability - Lil' Devil

 - Pure rawktasticness - Fire Woman

 - Over the top, yet beautiful rock ballad - Edie (Ciao Baby)

 - Indie classic - She Sells Sanctuary

What more could you want? Ok they are not going to win any subtleness awards but I dare anyone to say they didn't like the gig tonight. Admittedly I had to leave my two friends at the bar. They weren't up for moshing; their loss. I was soaked in sweat at the end and there is no better work out. From the opener Spiritwalker to closing song Love Removal Machine the band was in great form and went down a storm with the Olympia crowd.

Great stuff.
